Early relational health (ERH) is a relatively new term that infuses the concepts of child development, positive parenting, and attachment.
ERH centers around the earliest interpersonal interactions between infants and their parents/caregivers
which strengthen the foundation for lifelong health, learning, and social well-being.
The New Jersey Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics is addressing these issues and has the
following programs and resources available to pediatricians to help support nurturing, warm,
and responsive early parent/caregiver child relationships.
