Ediza Lahoz Valentino is a Licensed Social Worker and HealthySteps Specialist at Jane H Booker Family Health Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Ediza earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University and has over 15 years of experience working with children and families. Ediza has served as a leader in various roles such as a Service Coordinator for Early Intervention, the County Council for Young Children Program Coordinator, Supervisor for the Home Visitation program Healthy Families and an Intensive In Community Therapist. She is dedicated to expanding and growing within the infant and maternal health field and has recently joined a team of medical professionals to introduce CenteringParenting to the families they serve with hopes to address equity and accessibility challenges that are far too familiar to underserved communities. Ediza was also recently accepted to Montclair State University’s intensive infant and early childhood mental health fellowship program, where she will continue to further enhance her knowledge within this field. Ediza is passionate about child development, early relational health, family empowerment and advocacy.
