The impact of the pandemic has affected NJAAP, its members, vendors, sponsors and supporters in may ways. Like many other associations, NJAAP had to adjust swiftly and move its events and in-person educational programs to a virtual platform.
The Chapter started free Members only weekly Q&A sessions to discuss concerns about the health and well-being of patients and healthcare providers during the pandemic.
We started to offer webinar sessions on how to implement telemedicine within practices along with COVID-19 updates. A dedicated email for members to send their COVID-19 related questions was created.
For our sponsors and vendors we launched a Virtual Exhibitor environment that not only offered organizations the opportunity to showcase their products and services during our virtual conferences, but also separate from these events, NJAAP even celebrated New Jersey’s pediatric heroes at its 10th Annual Children’s Ball virtually. Many of our 2021 promotional opportunities will be virtual based again and we believe that our offerings will provide maximum visibility to our pediatric audience.
